Life can sometimes feel like one chaotic storm after another, where we are fighting just to keep our head above water. Jesus tells us the truth about the storms we face: He will give us what we need in the middle of our storms and He offers us hope for the other side when the storm is finally over.

Regret is one of the most basic human emotions people have, and it can become a very painful emotion. When we are younger, we can regret all sorts of things, but as we get older, the regrets can pile up and leave us melancholy.

The story of the prodigal son is a story of how God offers to deal with our regrets. They may be well-founded; we may have good reason to feel regret, for we often make poor decisions. But because of the sacrifice of God, our regrets can be redeemed, and our past actions can be forgiven. For the Christian, there is a peace available that is better than all the regrets we might have.

Today, we invite you to lay your regrets at the feet of the Father!

What happens when you die as a faithful follower of Christ? You close your eyes here, and open them in paradise where you await the great day of resurrection. Our resurrection is the cornerstone of our hope, for it assures us that, no matter what we face here, there is a hereafter where all things are made new. This promise is secured in that Jesus was personally raised from the dead.

Today we will discuss the implications of the resurrection—how it offers hope, how it puts things in perspective, how it portends a better world, and how it restores all things.
