Camp Facility

TAG Youth Camp in Lynchburg, TN is a small camp where the buildings are close together and where kids are in a safe environment.

Sleeping Arrangements

  • The kids will be sleeping in rustic cabins with bunk beds. There are two bathrooms with showers and sinks in each cabin.

  • Cabins are assigned by grade and gender.

  • Occasionally, we may combine grades within one cabin, but we combine the grades that are close in age. We won’t put a 5th-grader with a 3rd-grade group!

  • Two adults stay in the cabins with the campers. Of course, of the same gender!

  • Our Jr. Counselors — teens from the youth group — stay in their own cabins.

Spiritual Life

While at camp, your child will participate in:

  • Daily Bible classes by grade level

  • Daily Praise & Devotional Time with the whole camp

  • Daily Personal Quiet Time (highly encouraged!)

  • Discipleship Groups are formed at the beginning of camp, led by our teenage Jr. Counselors

Camp Teams

  • Campers, Counselors, and Jr. Counselors will be assigned to a mixed-age, mixed-gender Team, which allows new friendships to be formed between the different grade levels.

  • Each team will have two adult leaders and 4-6 teen leaders.

  • The teams will meet during the day and compete against the other teams in lots of exciting and zany games, and they earn points for effort, attitude, and winning.

Food

We have really good food at camp!

  • Wednesday— lunch & dinner

  • Thursday — 3 full meals

  • Friday — 3 full meals

  • Saturday — breakfast only

  • No food is allowed in the cabins.

If your child has a food allergy...

  • Be sure to list their dietary restrictions on the registration form.

  • If your child has a serious food allergy, they may bring food to substitute, but only if it is serious.

  • If you are providing food for your child’s allergy you must coordinate with the cooks.

The Canteen

We have a Canteen/store where the kids get to buy snacks during their Free Time.

  • Money for the Canteen is pre-paid during online registration. Cash will not be accepted for Canteen at camp.

  • Money left in your child's Canteen account will be absorbed into the camp budget. No money will be given back.

  • All the snack items are $1.00, so $5-$10 should be plenty of money to add to your child's Canteen account.

  • Please Note: Canteen snacks and drinks are not healthy. They are fun, yummy, and full of sugar! Remember…it’s camp!

Other Camp Activities

  • Feet on Bed (FOB) — daily afternoon nap/rest time in cabins

  • Free Time — Campers are separated into groups by gender, and they either play outdoor/water games or spend time in the Craft Shack.

Camper Drop Off

  • Wednesday Morning at 7:30 am

  • The Filling Station, East Campus (1112 N Rutherford Blvd)

  • Buses leave at 8:00 am SHARP!

Camper Pick Up

  • Saturday Morning at 10:30 am
